"Almost perfect. I like the simplicity, I like the volume, I like how compact it is, I like the materials used for all the parts. I would give it a higher score, except that promotional materials showed it steaming veggies & salmon on top as rice cooked underneath all at once. Well, salmon was in the fridge, so we gave that a shot. Does not work. The full volume loses moisture too fast for a small piece of salmon to reach an appropriate internal temp. The auto shutoff is by weight, which is a great feature, except that we had to stop and start the process a few times to get the salmon temp to move at all, ultimately ruining the rice quite well. In the end, it can cook rice, and it can run a steam basket - but NOT at the same time, despite explicit images on the instructional materials that promote the possibility."

The perfect size for two

"Rice has always been my husband's go-to side dish. I wanted to get him a rice cooker for Christmas, so he could up his game from Minute Rice, but I didn't want to break the bank on something he might not use. While there wasn't much info on this newer model, I took a chance on it based on the overall brand reputation. This model is very affordable and simple to use. It's also a convenient size, both for the amount of counter space it takes up and the capacity being perfect for two people. The warm feature is very nice to have as well. We've only made white rice in it so far, but it came out great. It was fluffy and moist, and much better than Minute Rice. After cooking and sitting on warm for a little while, there was no burning on the bottom. There was only a slightly more cooked layer that easily fluffed into the rest of the rice. The steamer is a nice addition, and I'm looking forward to using it."
